The Story Behind the Name
Oh Sherri Pub is named after my late sister, Sherri Lee Wallace. She passed away on her third birthday in 1964, six years before I was born. I never met Sherri and I grew up hearing so many wonderful stories about her that I feel as if I know her and what she was like. Apparently, Sherri was very fun, tough as nails, out-going and maybe even a bit of a “handful”. My parents would tell me stories about how they would say things such as “oh Sherri get out of there or oh Sherri don't climb on that” etc. I wanted to provide the atmosphere of an Irish Pub. I also wanted the traditional Irish Pub name, but wanted to name the pub after Sherri. I felt there could be nothing better than Oh Sherri Pub.
